Strong processes and supported staff

Strong processes and well-trained staff are fundamental for recruitment firms to maximise return on their technology investment according to some of the leading players in the staffing software field.

The view was put forward at an APSCo (Association of Professional Staffing Companies) Technology Leaders round table event in the City of London. The panel was made up of some of the biggest names in staffing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software including representatives from Safe Computing, Bullhorn and Job Science.

The panellists agreed that CRM systems are most effective for recruitment companies where the firm has clear, well-communicated processes and staff are supported to make the best use of the technology tools available to them.

Commenting on the findings, Raymond Pennie, Commercial Director of Kamanchi and Co-Chair of APSCo’s Technology Forum said: “The recruitment industry is well-served by some outstanding technology companies. Their products help staffing firms deliver value to their clients and drive profitability.”

“However recruitment firms which invest in technology but fail to ensure that consultants are well-trained and understand how to make the best use of the fantastic tools developed for the industry are missing an opportunity. Well-supported consultants effectively making best use of the technology available to them can make a real difference to a staffing firm’s bottom line.”
